I am from a small town in Kansas.  I have lived most of my life here in this small town but have had many opportunities to travel.  I love the adventure of travel and experiencing new places.  I started my career as an electrician.  I was able to live my dream of being a firefighter after that for 10 short years.  I have since moved on in my government career to become a building official.  I have been writing since high school when my literature teacher discovered I had a talent for writing.  She encouraged me to continue to explore my interests and write.  My first works were published in high school.  Since high school I have had many articles published.  I enjoy writing on a wide variety of topics.  It is just fantastic that I have an outlet like hubpages.  My many interests besides writing include cooking, woodworking, home improvement projects, racing my dirt bike and spending time with my family.  I hope you will enjoy my articles and find them useful.
